The 2017 SHAD program will run from July 2 - 28.

SHAD amplifies the great work being achieved within the school system by providing a unique program focused on science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) disciplines, with the goal of helping exceptional students envision their extraordinary potential as tomorrow's leaders and change makers. SHAD offers a one-month in-residence program each July across our Canadian host university campuses for 700 students (approximately 50 students per campus) who are in Grades 10, 11, and 12 (Quebec Secondaire IV, V or CEGEP I) or the international equivalent.

Students become aware of SHAD through our extensive community of supporters including more than 15,500 alumni who have participated in programs staged since SHAD’s inception in 1980. But the program relies heavily on educators, who are connected with students throughout the school year, to help identify Canada’s best and brightest students and ensure they are aware of the opportunity to apply to SHAD.
